Dr. Leann Landreth, ClinSciD, CCC-SLP
Leann Landreth, co-founder of Say & Play Club, is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with over 25 years of experience. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Disorders from Marshall University. She earned her clinician doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2021. She has worked as an SLP in four states and three foreign countries. Leann has worked in outpatient pediatric hospital settings, schools, preschools, and has taught at a university. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting National Parks, paddleboarding, skiing, hiking, and snowshoeing. Leann loves helping children and families reach their communication goals.
Emerald Vaca, SLP-A
Emerald Vaca, co-founder of Say & Play Club, is an authorized speech-language pathology assistant (SLP-A) through the Colorado Department of Education. She is a former elementary school teacher with over 18 years of experience working with children and families. Emerald is a Grand Junction native who has served the community through an after-school recreation program, AmeriCorps, paraprofessional work, tutoring, and teaching grades K–5. She is also an active member of the Public Policy Committee for the Colorado Speech-Language-Hearing Association, where she advocates for the speech-language pathology profession and the individuals it serves. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two boys and her husband, as well as mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, hiking, and traveling. Emerald has dedicated her life to supporting children and believes deeply in giving back to the community she grew up in.
